How RivalsGlance turns official pages into a reviewed reference
Sources remain linked, automated checks fail closed, unusual records receive human review, and interpretation stays separate from sourced facts.
Sources and provenance
Balance entries come from official Marvel Rivals balance posts. Hero abilities and selectable Team-Up loadouts come from official hero pages. RivalsGlance retains a source link with every patch and Team-Up record so readers can check the original wording.
Normalization and review
Official information is normalized into a consistent structure so players can compare heroes, roles, Base Effects, Enhanced Effects, and numerical changes. Automated collection checks for missing heroes, duplicate records, malformed values, unexpected roster changes, missing portraits, and generated-site inconsistencies.
Balance parsing uses reviewed corrections when official formatting does not map cleanly to a card. Team-Up changes remain under human review until partner assignments, effects, keys, statistics, portraits, and the site preview have been checked. A new roster count is treated as growth to review, not an automatic failure simply because the number increased.
What the labels mean
Buff, Nerf, and Adjusted are RivalsGlance reading aids. A mixed change may not fit perfectly into one label, and a partner-specific change may not apply to every lineup. The detailed change text is more informative than the badge.
Editorial guides and patch analyses explain how the sourced facts may affect decisions. Those conclusions are RivalsGlance interpretations, not official guidance.
Current limitations
RivalsGlance does not currently publish proprietary match telemetry, pick rates, win rates, or data-backed tier rankings. It cannot guarantee that an official page will never change after collection or that every unusual interaction is fully described by the source text. Consequential details should be confirmed in the current game client or official post.
Corrections
Corrections can be reported through the RivalsGlance GitHub repository. Include the hero, patch version, affected text, and official source when possible. The public repository records the reviewed data and changes used to build the site.
